"feelin' tired, by the fire, the long day is over"--norah jones

what a lovely lazy weekend...after once again being sucked into a late night last night...yes, i believe it was around 330 (geeez)...i woke up and sat in the common room for awhile, showered and hung out in lauren & lindsay's room for a little bit when i started to remember that oh yes, i do have class while i'm here...and it was good to be there because i remembered that i had to write some paragraphs for some cultural ideas or whatever they are by wednesday...oh and did anyone remember we have a paper to write by next wednesday? umm yeah, so i have to think of something to write about...something about a movie relating to another form of art...any ideas? well whatever, lauren looked online for places to get a pedicure and finally we found a close and cheap one up near 9th ave on 45th...i finally got ready and we took our journey over there...

the pedicure was eh..i mean it was $25 and that was what we paid for in new york...i even pay almost $35 in austin and they really take their time...anyways, we wont' be going back there..it wasn't bad..just probably would have been worth it to spend a little more...then on the way home, we walked through this broadway flea market where all these vendors were selling things from broadway...autographed playbills, posters, toe shoes, shirts, you name it, it was being sold...it was interesting...then we went down to SoHo and tried to meet kenzie and jenni down there, the minute we got off the subway we both had already spent $5 on these really great bracelets (yes i'm wearing bracelets now...wow) and started walking around, i bought some shoes..! yes, for $20..finally, even if i WAS looking for brown and i found black...eventually we found jenni & kenzie and walked around, we decided we're going to purchase some moccasins..it's decided...they're way cute...anyways, i started feeling faint and starving..so lauren and i found the italian restaurant we ate at last time we were down there. we were so proud of ourselves for actually finding it...!! so i had some wonderful salmon fettucini! yum! then came back home...

i chilled for a bit, then we went to get some hot chocolate and chai at starbucks around the corner, and came back and watched "punch drunk love"..i have been tired since about 10pm, so i'm happy about that..it seems liek people are starting to feel sick around here, and i would choose to get sick any other weekend but this upcoming one!! (or when my mom comes up either!) so i took some nyquil and vitamin C and hopefully that will help ward off anything until after sunday!!! i am totally excited for thursday!! yay!!!!!!!!

shoutout to shawna for calling me from the ACL fest while jack johnson was playing! yay shawna!! i wish i had been there :(
